Extensions for Joomla! 5.x • Manage categories doesn't work in JEvents

Using JEvents works fine in our Joomla 5 site except for the buttom 'manage categories' which gives an 500 internal sever error.

To use different categories, you have to blank out 'default', but i cannot delete 'default'
